Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, Siem ReapAngkor Wat is, quite simply, one of the most splendid attractions in all of South East Asia. Largely lost to the jungle for hundreds of years, then 'rediscovered' by western explorers Angkor is easily on a par with sites like the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids of Giza, and Machu Pichu. As well as Angkor Wat there are many oher temples to explore such as Angkor Thom, the Bayon, and Ta Prohm. The varying character, mystical romance, and extravagant beauty of the Angkor temples will leave a strong and lasting impression...

Phnom Penh's Attractions

The Royal Palace, Phnom PenhPhnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, sits on the banks of the Tonle Sap river at the confluence of two other rivers, the Bassac and the mighty Mekong, and it holds an undeniable charm, once being known as 'The Paris of the East'. After a traumatic recent history Phnom Penh is now thriving with new hotels, restaurants, shops and bars opening up throughout the city. Exploring Phnom Penh's attractions such as the Royal Palace and the National Museum is a relaxing experience, but also an emotional one with visits to Toul Sleng and the 'Killing Fields' of Choeung Ek.

Apsara Dance

Apsara Dancers, CambodiaDancing holds a great significance in the lives of Khmer people, and no visit to Cambodia would be complete without experiencing a captivating performance of the ancient Apsara dance. After being awed by the Apsara carvings on the Angkor temples you will be mesmerized as you watch the beautiful live Apsaras. Dressed in skin-tight silk tunics embellished with gold and silver thread, barefoot but wearing ornate headdresses and with outstretched arms, the dancers perform with incredible grace to a backdrop of gongs, drums, xylophones, horns and stringed instruments.

Tonle Sap Floating Villages Cruise

Floating villages on the Tonle SapThe Tonle Sap is South East Asia’s largest lake and a cruise on it is possibly the most fascinating journey you can take in Cambodia! You pass an amazing variety of landscapes and lives, seemingly unchanged for hundreds of years. Witnessing floating villages is a captivating experience; floating petrol stations, fish farms, floating restaurants, floating hairdressers and amazingly, floating pig sties. Men fish and repair vessels or extend their houses, women cook and wash up in kitchens at the sterns of the boats/homes, and children leap from rickety wooden porches to splash around for your (and their) entertainment...

Battambang & surrounding countryside

Battambong rivefrontBattambang and the surrounding area give a taste of ‘real’ Cambodia, unaffected by mass-tourism. Battambang is a relaxed and laid back town sitting on the banks of the picturesque Sangker River, and is famed for its fading French colonial architecture. The countryside surrounding Battambang is quite beautiful with the Angkorian era ruins of Phnom Banan and Wat Ek Phnom, caves, waterfalls, mountain viewpoints, and many local villages where the traditional ways of life can be witnessed.
